SSRS can retrieve data from different data sources. We need to use ODBC or OLEDB drivers in order to fetch the data from the different data source system. SSRS is most compatible with MS SQL SERVER, Excel/CSV, Oracle, DB2 etc.
In SSRS, Users can create reports in various formats such as tabular, matrix, chart, gauge, free form etc.
Via Report builder user can create ad-hoc reports as well. Consumers with limited capability of SSRS can also create the reports.
We can display the KPI data via Chart and Gauge.
