What can be challenging in POS tagging and how to overcome it?

POS tagging can be challenging when it comes to ambiguity. Ambiguity issue arises when a word has multiple meanings based on the text and different POS tags can be assigned to them.

For such issues, POS taggers came with statistical approach where they calculate the probability of the word based on the context of the text and a suitable POS tag is assigned. Markov model can be an example of such concept.
