Reading the above description, I believe, you are now aware of the total period you required to learn AWS concepts depending upon your area of interest. Now, the major thing is to how can you stick to your plan so that you may find yourself prepared for the AWS certification exam and nail it in a first attempt. Here are some tips for the same:-
A). Focus on Dates
Make a goal after analyzing how much total time you’ll take to learn your AWS interest exam. Spare enough time for practical implementation so that you may not find yourself stuck at any point. If you are a working professional and preparing your AWS exam with your job, then Friday is the perfect day you can boost your soul. Connect your weekends, too with your study plan. Say, on Friday and Saturday you’ll learn new concepts, and on Sunday you will revise and test yourself based on several quiz or questionnaires.
B). Be Punctilious
Be punctual and regular in your study plan. It is worthless to train areas you already excel in. Rather, focus on the weaker areas you really need to focus on.
C). Stay Active
You will be dealing with technology every time while preparing for AWS certification exams. A study says that 30 minutes of walking on a treadmill improves problem-solving skills by 10%. Extra 10% really matters in your preparation, right?
D). Involve in a Study Group
Teamwork is surely a fire way to keep you on track. Join AWS communities or groups on social media to exercise the topics you have prepared. With each person taking a section, and each making concise notes saves a lot of time. You can also conduct a mini quiz on each section you and your team is working on.
E). Choose a perfect place to study
This seems an obvious piece of advice, but most of the students take it in a wrong manner. Do not surround yourself with loud or aggressive music. But simply have a peaceful environment around yourself. You can make use of soft and relaxing music.
It is better to clear your theoretical concepts completely and then proceed for the practical’s. Although this certification exam does not have any practical exams but still getting practical knowledge will always be beneficial to attain so that even if you forget theory but practical can always be remembered. It’s good to practice through mock tests but do not expect hundred percent same questions to be asked in the exam. Other than this, do thorough research about the AWS certification exams.
Now, all you need is to-
i). Choose the AWS platform you want to prepare for
AWS offers four major platforms- AWS Cloud Practitioner, Architect, Developer, and Operations. You have to choose one of the above or all platforms as per your interest.
ii). Register for the certification exam
Book for the exam only after at least one year of hands-on practice in AWS because you need to give yourself enough time for the preparation. Study for 2-3 hours every day or night.
iii). Choose your training platform
Choose a proper training platform to clarify your AWS concepts. You can either opt for online training platform or choose an offline one. You can join a community to prepare your exam. You may choose to join any platform for this like- online, classroom, social media, meetup, etc. Like-minded people will help you to stay on track and reach your goals.
Just going through the services and features of AWS is not enough; you need to know AWS inside and out, use cases, a combination of different services, when to use the services, etc. Building a project is really beneficial to know how much you have known till the time.
