Using adaptive monitoring.

In Nagios a service check attribute can be changed during the run time of the command check, this feature is known as “Adaptive monitoring”.

Attributed like - check command, check interval, Max check attempts, check time periods, commands enabled in event handlers can be changed for specific host or services.

This means the respective service /host check is adapted as per the requirement of service.
