When linux system boots or starts it shows or maps types of filesystem specified within /etc/fstab file. This file includes all mounted partitions and are included here for permanent mounting. It somewhat looks like below -

Filesystem - Device which contains filesystem.
Mount_points - The location where the filesystem is mounted.
type Type of file system (ex2, ex3, swap etc.)
Options - Type of mount like sw (swap) ro (CD - ROM) noauto (filesystem will not be automatically mounted)
