What is company information in salesforce ?

Company information like Organization Name, Primary contact, Phone number, email address is stored under company profile in salesforce application. This gives the information about the organization which is using this application.

One of the most useful information we get from here is licence information. It will give complete information about salesforce licence and salesforce product license. From here we can get a total number user licence, remaining for each product and profile.

Also, ‘Salesforce.com Organization ID’ field gives the org Id of that particular instance which helps to identify the exact instance name or sandbox.
