In what way can I create HTML email templates via ExactTarget?

I have been asked to create an HTML email template in ExactTarget. I have a few questions after reading the documents.

Is there only one tag that is available to mark a user-editable area?

Are there other options, for example, repeating elements in la Campaign Monitor templates?

For example, should the content be an image, and it should have a fixed width?

Can I set the default content for these areas? Can anyone help me with creating a target email template?

A tracking pixel is required in the template. Now, if I have to do this without manually inserting it via a menu, is there a tag in HTML to do the same?

Will ExactTarget automatically inline the styles I have added to a style block on send?

This is how ExactTarget creates content areas that are not restrictive.

Since ExactTarget will not automatically inline style, you must do it before saving.
