Is Facebook video calling safe and private? Is there anything to beware of?

Facebook is also TLS encrypted, so sniffers would not be able to see the video. I personally don't think that Facebook would store video calls because of limited resources, but always take these things with a pinch of precaution. If sharing sensitive data through video calls, try to look for an end-to-end encrypted service. Storing metadata, however, requires almost no space, so you can assume, they store at least a few things like who you called, for how long did you talk, timestamps, etc. It's just a few bytes of data, it takes nothing for them to store and information is power.

is facebook video calling safe and private?

. let's discuss the possibilities:

• Usually, such data is encrypted and nobody can see them except you until you authorize someone. Facebook already has authorization to all the data and they can view anything at any time.

• Unknowingly, you give authorization to many other 3rd party apps. For example, you allow these photo/video apps, games, horoscopes, and so many other services access to your profile.

• If your profile gets hacked, videos cannot be accessed because these videos are not saved on your profile. But, if the whole FACEBOOK gets hacked, even then the possibility of your data being accessed by the hacker is 1 in a billion.

My advice to everyone who uses video calling: DO NOT share any private information or get into adult video calling with someone you do not completely trust. They can do a lot of harm, and you don't want that.
