There are two types of testing, the first is known as Functional Testing and the other is called Non-Functional testing. There are various approaches to perform functional and non-functional testing.

Requirements based testing and business process-based testing are the two approaches which are usually used in implementing Functional testing.

Depending upon the risk factors, specifications or requirements are prioritized and accordingly tests are executed. This ensures that the most critical and important scenarios are part of our functional testing execution cycle.

Talking of Business process-based testing, this is done to ensure end to end business flow is implemented and working in parallel to the specifications. This helps non-technical subject matter experts to analyze the application and execute business process flow as per their domain or product experiences.
