The situation - Your router is accessible from the internet can be solved through - Search online for a website that can scan your public IP for open ports for you, or ask a friend to do it for you. In the latter case, search for software for "port scanning", "penetration testing" or so. I would run Nmap (with Zenmap GUI) for starters on mine.
